About Earl Young and Earl Young’s Team
In 2011, Earl Young faced the life-changing news of being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He soon discovered that while chemotherapy could extend his life, it wasn’t a permanent solution. As an Olympic gold medalist in track, he understood the power of teamwork and was profoundly touched when a stranger in Germany made the selfless decision to donate blood stem cells. This incredible act of kindness became the catalyst for founding Earl Young’s Team, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about blood cancer and the importance of donors.
How to Get Involved
It’s easy and free to join our lifesaving mission. There are several ways to get involved and support our efforts. You can help raise awareness, join the registry, host a swab drive, or help spread the word about our mission.
Join the Registry
Anyone in good health and between the ages of 18-55 can register as a potential donor. Order a FREE at-home swab kit.
Host a Swab Drive
EYT makes hosting a swab drive easy! Every donor you register could be someone’s lifesaving match and every dollar you raise supports our mission to promote awareness.
Make a Gift
In our fight against blood cancer, EYT’s goal is to reach as many patients in-need as possible. A monetary donation helps us add more lifesaving donors to the registry and ncrease the odds of giving others a second chance at life.
